ESSEX PERFORMING ARTS & MUSIC SCHOOL ANNUAL DANCE COMPETITIONS

Dance competitions or festivals as they are commonly known are held throughout the calendar year all over the UK. We at EPAMS take huge pride in being able to offer such a wonderful opportunity for our students. 

COMPETITION ETHOS

Dance competitions are there for children to gain experience in a Theatre dancing on beautiful stages with full stage make up, costume and props. We at EPAMS like to train our students to understand what is important to us, how the dancer advances from each competition, encouraging progression, improvement and the art of being gracious in winning and not winning.  We encourage our students to participate with confidence with the understanding that what one adjudicator likes will differ from competition to competition which in return shows how the professional world of dance and auditions work.

Lesson’s take place on a Saturday before/after the current scheduled classes.  9am-10am and 2.45pm-3:30pm. They are private sessions of 15 minutes and cost £7.50 per session and is capped at £10.00 regardless of how many additional sessions are attended. 

Please note, this is only offered to children who take part in weekly technique classes and is by invitation only
